HUGE emphasis on everything in this whole piece. Age is a blessing and we should only hope to be able to live a life long, happy, and healthy enough to show wrinkles, sun spots, scars, etc.
At 25 I see my under-eye wrinkles, my laugh-lines that show how much joy I've had, my dad's nose and eyes, my smaller-than-"normal" jaw, and I LOVE them.
I will never inject my face with anything because it represents more than my age; it represents the generations of love that came before me 🤍
To have the same naturally aged face my mother had at my age is an HONOUR
"I want to look like I lived" - I want to scream this from rooftops. THANK YOU for writing this! And with such supporting evidence & so well said. We. need. more. of. this!!!
Yeah, this did it for me. While I think that everyone should have the right to change something if they genuinely think it will make their life better, I can't help but feel a hint of sadness at the future face they'll never get to meet
Totally agree. Have felt myself watching the topic's prevalence grow and grow, but have been unsure how to broach it. I was nervous to share and come across overly judgemental or coarse, so I am grateful to read comments like yours <3
Thank you so much!! I am still pinching myself at how many amazing people are following on here now and, while I can’t wrap my head around it, I’m so so grateful
As a woman from the Middle East, you couldn’t have expressed it better! It’s truly something to reflect on regarding the normalization of Botox and lip fillers. Well said, Mimi! ❤️

Fantastic! I’ve been looking to explore this topic, as it’s something I’ve always silently noted but never seen discussed. Growing old is blessing.

I thought the title said „I want to look like I’ve lied“ and I was SO interested to see why and where this goes lololol
Beautifully written, important topic! Inspired by this.
